️ In Loving Memory of a Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather

Sadly, my father-in-law passed away last week. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Olga, and his three daughters — Jannette, Adriana, and Tania — who were the light of his life. But no one brought out his playful side like his nine grandchildren, ranging in age from three to twenty-eight. Our family is heartbroken.

His sisters in Mexico will miss his daily phone calls — he never failed to check in on the people he loved. His entire family and friends will miss his jokes, his wisdom, and the way he always made them feel seen and cared for.

He touched so many lives with his kindness. Helping others was his love language — whether through acts of service, thoughtful words, or simple gestures. He formed lifelong friendships while serving at church, a place where he felt most fulfilled and at home.

Even as his health declined, he never lost his warmth, sense of humor, or ability to bring joy to those around him. He was strong when needed, but always led with love.

To me, he was like a second father. I’ll miss our conversations about soccer, his hilarious jokes, and his incredible homemade salsas. You could always hear him shouting “GOAAAL!” from down the street when Chivas or Mexico scored — a sound we’ll never forget.

️ En Memoria de un Querido Esposo, Padre y Abuelo

Lamentablemente, mi suegro falleció la semana pasada. Deja atrás a su amada esposa de 49 años, Olga, y a sus tres hijas — Jannette, Adriana y Tania — quienes eran la luz de su vida. Pero nadie despertaba su lado más juguetón como sus nueve nietos, que van desde los tres hasta los veintisiete años. Nuestra familia está con el corazón roto.

Sus hermanas en México extrañarán sus llamadas diarias — nunca dejaba de estar pendiente de las personas que amaba. Toda su familia y sus amigos extrañarán sus bromas, su sabiduría y la forma en que siempre hacía sentir a los demás vistos y queridos.

Tocó muchísimas vidas con su bondad. Ayudar a los demás era su forma de demostrar amor — ya fuera a través de actos de servicio, palabras amables o pequeños gestos llenos de cariño. Forjó amistades para toda la vida sirviendo en la iglesia, un lugar donde se sentía pleno y en paz.

Incluso cuando su salud fue empeorando, nunca perdió su calidez, su sentido del humor ni su capacidad de dar alegría a quienes lo rodeaban. Era fuerte cuando se necesitaba, pero siempre guiaba con amor.

Para mí, fue como un segundo padre. Voy a extrañar nuestras conversaciones sobre fútbol, sus chistes tan graciosos, y sus salsas caseras, hechas con tanto amor. Siempre se le podía escuchar gritar “¡GOOOOOL!” desde la calle cuando jugaba Chivas o la selección de México — un sonido que jamás olvidaremos.

Llevamos con nosotros un gran amor por él. Si desea contribuir en este momento tan difícil, estaríamos profundamente agradecidos. Cualquier donación, por pequeña que sea, nos ayudará a honrar su memoria y a apoyar a su esposa que tanto amó.
