Regardless of who she was to them, Marilyn Burton was Grandma to anyone and everyone she knew. She was someone you could always count on for words of advice and support, to laugh at your jokes (and share ones of her own), or just to talk about your day with and make you feel like you were the most important person in the world to her. She was a pillar of warmth and love and support to her children, her grandchildren, her friends, and everyone around her in her community she adopted along the way.

Grandma was someone truly extraordinary. The daughter of a Burbank firefighter, she lived a humble and hardworking life, working all sorts of jobs to support her 4 children. But she never let any of the hardships of her life, including the untimely loss of two of her sons, get in the way of what was most important to her, being there as much as she could for the people around her. In the words of her brother, "If she had only $5 and she knew you needed it more than she did, she'd give you the $5."

On June 3rd, 2025, heaven gained a new angel. She was 87 years old. We are all greatly saddened by her loss. Nevertheless, we will always be thankful for all of the time we've had with her, and we shall always cherish all of the memories we've shared with her, and to have been able to know and bask in the glow of her warmth, support, guidance, and love - the greatest mom and Grandma any child or grandchild could ever ask for.

We aim to raise money to cover her funerary and memorial expenses, in order to ensure that she gets the beautiful and loving farewell she so richly deserves. Any and all contributions will go towards those purposes, and they will go a very long way in helping us ease the financial burdens during this difficult time.
