Celebrate Gena Gipson's Life: Funeral Fund

If you ever crossed paths with our mother, Gena Gipson, you might get the impression she was just a timid, small in stature lady. On the surface, she might come off as unassuming. But if you ever took the time to get to know her and her story, you’d know that the lady in the short, barely over five-foot frame, was one who lived with resilience and grit. She was a person who took on some of the hardest challenges life could throw at anyone. Yet she overcame things like rejection and general mistreatment, extreme financial hardships, and abusive relationships and worked hard to support herself and her two sons until they were old enough to be on their own.

Life took us by a major surprise when she unexpectedly passed away on September 9, 2024. In her latter years, Gena had been dealing with health issues, including suffering a catastrophic stroke back in May 2024, which resulted in her losing mobility in the left side of her body. However, like she had done all her life, she continued to summon her inner strength and fought back. She had shown an upward trend of recovery and had plans to transition to the next phase of her life in retirement, with hopes to enjoy the remainder of her life with her sons and granddaughters.

With the suddenness of her passing comes an unexpected financial burden as it relates to funeral expenses and being able to lay our mother to rest with honor. To help cover the unexpected costs of the funeral and related expenses, we are reaching out for your support.
