Hi I am Fred Simonson. Marcus “Frenchie” Cox and I worked side by side slinging hash and sharing banter at Louie’s Cafe for decades.

In the kitchen I learned a new trick or technique or move from him nearly everyday.

But as a man, Frenchie taught me about toughness. About valor. And warmth. Integrity. About squaring up to yourself and not making excuses.

But I also learned the absolute value of comedic timing. About the power of wit. I learned while there’s a little Rocky in all of us, there’s usually a whole lot more Bullwinkle.

We’re setting up this fundraiser on behalf of Frenchie’s family to help cover interment costs, and all proceeds from this effort go directly to them. Let’s send Frenchie home, so his ashes rest alongside his mother’s.
