Honoring Dorothy Langston – Support for Final Expenses
Dear friends and family,
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Dorothy Langston, a remarkable woman who touched countless lives with her love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to family and God.
Dorothy was the foundation of our family, married to her beloved husband, Robert, for 69 years. Together, they built a life of faith and service, traveling across the country to start churches, raising two incredible sons, and becoming a cherished mentor and grandmother.
A natural caregiver, Dorothy dedicated her life to helping others. As a certified nursing assistant (CNA), she and Robert ran a group home for adolescents in Canada and Colorado. When they settled in Montana in 1999, Dorothy continued to open her heart and home by providing care to elderly and disabled individuals in an adult foster care setting—work she lovingly continued until her “retirement” in 2016 at the age of 79. Even then, she moved to upstate New York to be closer to her youngest son, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
For nine years, Dorothy bravely fought end-stage renal failure, undergoing dialysis three times a week. Despite her health challenges, she remained strong-willed, defying expectations and rallying through difficult times. In 2023, she returned to Montana to spend precious moments with her oldest son while he was on hospice, staying by his side until his passing.
The loss of her eldest son weighed heavily on Dorothy, and though she continued to love and support those around her, her health declined. In recent years, she endured severe headaches, hospital visits, and even a broken leg that required surgery. Through it all, she never stopped pouring love into her family.
Dorothy became ill while in Pennsylvania and was taken to the hospital, where she passed. We are now making arrangements to return her to New Jersey, where she will be laid to rest among her family and friends—those who have cherished “Granny” throughout her last years of life.
We are seeking support to cover funeral expenses, allowing us to focus on celebrating Dorothy’s incredible life rather than the financial burden of these final arrangements. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would be deeply appreciated.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping our family in your thoughts would mean the world to us. Your kindness, generosity, and prayers bring us comfort in this difficult time.
Thank you for your love and support.
With gratitude, The Langston Family
