Hello, my name is Jasmine Brown. I grew up in Brunswick County a small-town located in Lawrenceville, Virginia. I’m a single 31 year old, who is trying to get some financial assistance with the burial and funeral arrangements service for my brother Derrick McFarland, most known as “DL”. Derrick McFarland was born and raised in Virginia. He attended Brunswick High School, where he received his education and graduated in the year of 2004. Derrick loved spending time with his family, working out, reading books, playing cards and also creating his own music. DL also enjoyed working as a construction worker for many years up until he became ill. Derrick suffered from chronic Gastritis, which he was having a lot of pain in his stomach. Derrick unexpectedly passed and departed from us on October 2, 2024. A GoFundMe was started to help with the Celebration of Life expenses for DL due to not having any Life Insurance. We are all devastated by the passing of DL and we want to give him the memorial he deserves to honor his memories and say our last goodbyes. I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Derrick McFarland’s funeral.
