Daniel Hatch is one of the fiercest fighters I have ever known. The oldest of 9 children, my dad grew up in Shelley Idaho and he is a proud spud. He met my mom in college and it didn't take long for them to realize that forever was with each other. They had us (4 sons) and he is the best dad we could ask for.

My dad has fought through a heart attack, kidney failure, dialysis, amputations, and so much more that would break any normal person. He has fought every part of the last 10+ years to continue to be with us and make more memories. Although his mind is there, his body is failing him. We know that when he dies he will be whole again and get to run jump and be greeted by his parents.

Dan will enter hospice tomorrow and we will be focusing on his comfort and celebrating him for his last week. He is fighting all the way to the end and he will forever be our hero.

As we are going through the process, who knew funerals were so expensive. We are doing our best to manage but unfortunately we are going to be falling short. If there is anything you can do financially that would be incredible. I know it is asking a lot but it would help our family immensely, every little bit helps.

Dan officially left the earth at 4:19 pm on 7/12. We will always miss him but he’s with us
