The friends and family of Coach Vincent Bingham are needing help to cover the cost of Coach's funeral and the repass. As most of you know, Coach had a lot of health issues and was on a limited income, but he didn't let that stop him from helping others. If he had it and you needed something at the time, he was going to give it to you, even if it was the last cash in his pocket. That is just the kind of man Coach was. Many of you got to run at the collegiate level because of his training methods. I know many of you received partial and full-ride scholarships due to his connections and the talent he helped bring out in you. Many of you were recruited by him and took your talent to a whole new level under his leadership.

Many of you knew Coach on a professional level. You either coached with or against him and learned some of his valuable techniques. You may have met him at one of the many high schools, colleges, or universities that he coached for and became lifelong friends. You also may have been teammates with Coach in his early years.

Some of you met Coach in his later years during his many health issues. You were his doctors, nurses, and caretakers, for whom we are eternally grateful.

No matter how you knew Coach, you loved him! He gave so much of himself and left this earth doing what he truly loved to do.

Now, it is time for us all to give back to him. We need to give him a proper send-off. As I'm sure you all realize, there will be an extremely large number of you all coming to pay your respects.

So, we are asking for donations to help cover the cost of his burial and to feed all of you coming to say goodbye and share your favorite Coach Bingham story.

All of the money raised beyond the cost of the burial and repass will be donated to the Jets Track Club and Dr. Weber & the Wound Care Team at Mercy Jefferson. Our true desire is to also be able to start a Memorial Scholarship in Coach Bingham's name. Coach deserves to have his legacy continue on in helping future collegiate track stars. Please help us to make this possible.
