Warm, inviting smile, hilarious, and giver are a handful of words describing how Cassandra (aka Cassie) made many feel when around her.

A person of faith, a passionate and supportive caregiver to newborns and mothers is what her community members knew her to be. Daughter, niece, cousin, sister, mother to her only child, grandmother, auntie, godmother, friend, neighbor, etc. These fruitful and dynamic relationships that Cassie was born into and created over her 40+ years on earth symbolize the abundant life she lived growing up in Trinidad and Tobago and where we celebrate her home-going in New York.

Cassie meant so much to the family, friends, and community members who knew her intimately. Although Cassie's spirit transitioning from earth to the land of milk and honey saddens many of us. We can find some comfort in knowing she will rest in eternal peace.

Our ability to celebrate her life and her impact on our lives doesn't have to end on the day of her home-going service this Saturday. By donating to the American Heart Association in Cassie's name, you can cement a piece of her legacy in supporting an organization advancing care and research in heart disease and strokes.

Also, by contributing to this memorial fundraiser, you can assist our family in covering the cost of wrapping up Cassie's obligations, given her sudden passing. We understand managing the daily cost of living isn't easy these days. However, we humbly ask for your help.
