The Las Vegas Valley has lost one of the good ones!
It crushes my soul to share the heartbreaking news that our beloved Bunny, who has served THOUSANDS of guests their cocktails at the Gold Coast Casino over the last 30 years, has suffered a major stroke due to an inoperable brain bleed. She spent 5 days in the ICU before peacefully passing to the next life.
Bunny is leaving behind her daughter Alexis (Minnesota), her life partner, Dan (Las Vegas), her Mom, sisters and brothers (Hawaii) and an endless network of friends she has made in her 30 year career serving cocktails at the Gold Coast Casino.
A celebration of life has been planned for Sunday, June 29th from 3-7pm at the PT’s Sierra Gold at Jones/215 (south).
In the meantime, we’re organizing a collection to help cover Bunny’s cremation and funeral expenses, as well as to support her daughter, Alexis, in traveling to and from Minnesota while dealing with the death of her Mother and to be here with us to honor her Mother’s incredible life.
We’re also gathering “Bunny Briefs”—short write-ups of your favorite moments with Bunny. These could be stories about something she did or said that made you laugh, touched your heart, or left a lasting impression on your life. We’ll display these at her celebration for everyone to read.
If you have any photos with Bunny or from moments she shared with us, we’d love to include those too. Please send any pictures or videos you have to [phone redacted].
Bunny touched so many lives in this valley with her humor, heart, and fierce spirit. She deserves a send-off as unforgettable and beautiful as she was. I know this group has what it takes to make that happen.
With love and gratitude,
