My name is Richard and I'm Buddy's partner. Some people call me Bling. I'm creating this GoFundMe page because Buddy in recent years has just had a terrible time with unfortunate events that ended with a loss of his battle with lung cancer. He was active in theater and the arts and just loved everything about performing, the people he worked with, and his overall zest for life. The condition that proved to be too much was so unlike who he was. I like to describe him as FGP, which was a fundamentally good person. He couldn't lie to save his life. Everything he did, he always put others ahead of himself. Of course, my description may be slightly biased lol, but so many people loved him dearly, and he touched many more with his performances. While he wanted to be cremated, it's still not a cheap date, and we lived in the "here & now". After we were no longer homeless (which lasted several months) I did my best to provide anything he could possibly want...because he deserved that. So I wasnt the best financial planner lol, that's for sure! But at the end of the day, we loved each other very very much. And I would be with him "until the wheels fell off". After his cancer diagnosis, he quipped "looks like we're down to the rims...." and then comment on how the exam room was poorly decorated as "dreadful"! He always tried to remain upbeat so as to not to make me worry. I want to do right by him and honor his wishes. I would appreciate any help to that end. And I'm sure he would too.
