Celebrate Brian's Life and Legacy

Donation protected
On November 29, 2024, our family was deeply saddened by Brian's unexpected passing.

Brian was special to so many. He had a long career selling pipe and plumbing supplies with both Liberty Pipe and Supply and later Ferguson Enterprises, where he built many lasting relationships. He volunteered with Southwestern Yacht Club, towing kids' boats all around California so his son and others could participate in sailboat races. Finally, in his retirement years, he set aside some money to buy his dream car and met many more special friends through the Corvette Owners Club of San Diego, where he was eventually involved in planning Corvette runs around Southern California, organizing the club's participation in local parades, and being part of the local community and local charities around San Diego while driving his really fast and cool car.

One thing that was common across all parts of his life was that he loved to meet people and talk their ears off, and he got really good at building and maintaining relationships. He was always willing to offer advice if anyone needed it, and he was always ready to share a story. People who knew him would agree that he was very level-headed and rarely seemed upset about anything for long. He had a great sense of humor and was always willing to laugh at himself and find the humor in a bad situation. He didn't want a funeral, but I think he would appreciate the humor in us finding a loophole and giving him a Celebration of Life instead.

We humbly ask for support to honor Brian's legacy via a Celebration of Life event in lieu of flowers or gifts. We'd like to accommodate all the people who may want to be there to honor him with a truly special event at a place that was special to him. If there's an outpouring of support, we will donate excess funds to San Diego Center for the Blind, as he had always spoken fondly of the events that the Corvette Owners Club had with this charity.

The event will take place on Saturday, February 15, 2025. We will also post an electronic invitation with venue details on Brian's Facebook page to gather RSVPs and adjust our plans to accommodate everyone who can be there.

We very much appreciate all the kind words, emotional support, and prayers we have received since Brian’s passing, and we’re forever grateful for the outpouring of love from all the special people in his life.
