Braylin Williams, a student at Fairfield Compass Elementary, was supposed to be starting 2nd grade this school year. As all of the teachers and staff prepared for the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year and began welcoming students back through their doors, the Williams family was instead preparing to say goodbye to their 7 year old son.

After 9 months of a hard fought battle with DIPG (a fatal brain tumor), Braylin passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024 in the early hours of the morning. This GoFundMe is being created to financially assist the Williams family in holding the appropriate funeral services that Braylin deserves.

Those of us who were blessed enough to know Braylin while he was still with us here on earth can attest to the contagious joy and energy he carried with him into any room. He could be best described as goofy and silly, ornery and stubborn, loving and sensitive, and happy and carefree. He was most often smiling and laughing, and loved to give hugs. He loved sweet treats and Pokémon, and his favorite color was yellow, which suits the bright ray of light he always was. Braylin and his one of a kind smile will always be remembered by those who loved him.

While the Williams family is incredibly appreciative and gracious of anyone who can offer financial support during this time of need, they ask that you please respect their desire to mourn the life of their son in privacy and peace.
