As one of Cause Capacity’s first clients, Outdoor Afro holds a special place in our hearts. Since 2016 we have partnered with Outdoor Afro to provide HR support because we believe deeply in their mission to connect Black people with nature. Their work honors a long tradition of Black generosity, leadership, and land stewardship that often goes unseen but has shaped communities and landscapes for generations.

Outdoor Afro helps people experience the joy, healing, and empowerment that come from time outside. Through hiking, fishing, kayaking, gardening, skiing, and more, they build community and grow leaders who care for our lands, water, and wildlife. Their programs create safe, welcoming spaces where Black people can learn, explore, and lead in conservation and outdoor recreation.
