Celebrate Angie's Life: Help Us Honor Her Memory

Donation protected
This week, we have suffered a loss that no one was ready for. Angie, our mom, our babies' grandma, our grandma's baby, a friend of many, suddenly left this earth, and although our hearts are ripped apart, we know she is at peace now.

If you knew our mom, then you know she was a woman of many words. And if you didn’t know her? Just give her five minutes—she’d have you laughing, talking, crying, and probably spilling your whole life story. That was just her. Our wild, loving, fearless, crazy mommy. Writing this still feels like a bad dream that we’re going to wake up from soon. I could tell a hundred stories about her, and each one would show a different side of her that made her so special. And I guarantee every person she met has a story about her too. But there’s not a single doubt in my mind that she’s looking down right now telling us to pick our heads up and quit crying.

Asking for help hasn’t come easy to any of us, and it’s not something we wanted to ever do. It feels sort of cliché to come to the internet and ask her friends and our family for help with this. But if you truly knew our mom, you would know how much she deserved this for her last chapter. She wouldn’t want any of us to gather around in our plain black clothes, crying and being sad. She would want Sublime blasting through the speakers & all of us rejoicing the last 57 years of her life. She was the LAST person to ever ask for anything but always the first to give what little she had left. Even after her stroke, she was still trying to take care of everyone else when she could barely take care of herself.

Losing her so suddenly has left us completely earth-shattering. She was full of surprises, but she got us good with this one. We’re trying to give her the goodbye she deserves, which includes cremation and traveling to Florida to spread her ashes in the place she loved most. Sunshine and salt water were her version of therapy. And an icy cold mountain dew.

If you’re able to give anything at all, no matter how small, it truly means the world to our family. We know life is lifeing for everyone, so please know even just your love and support are more appreciated than we could ever say.

Mommy—we love you so much, whole world, every day. Please watch over Taegan, Payton, and Kamiah for us.
