With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our cherished Alfonso "Fonso" Gutierrez, who left us too soon on February 13, 2025.

He was a man of endless love, humor, musical talent and spirit, leaving an unforgettable mark on everyone who had the joy of knowing him.

Fonso was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend whose warmth and music brought people together in ways words cannot fully express.

As we come together to celebrate Fonso’s life, many have asked how they can help during this difficult time, and we deeply appreciate your kindness. We had not planned to create a GoFundMe account, but the outpouring of love from Alfonso’s friends and coworkers moved us to do so. While our family is managing the financial responsibilities, we understand that many who loved him want to help. Any contributions will go toward easing some of the financial obligations during this difficult time. We are truly grateful for the kindness and support.

Fonso’s life was defined by music, family, service, and laughter. From his early days as a talented musician in the rock band Archenemy to his years of dedicated service in the United States Army, he found joy in simple moments—FaceTiming with his kids, caring for his animals, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his beloved grandchild, Eliana. He was eagerly anticipating special moments with baby Amaya, and baby Levi. His humor, his stories, and his signature witty comebacks will be missed but never forgotten.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Riverside National Cemetery. His presence will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
