Hello, my name is Courtni Jacoway. I am the auntie of 13 year old Alexander Ervin, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly due to a severe asthma attack in his sleep on October 6, 2024. Alex was rushed to the hospital where he started to decline even quicker. Doctors did all they could to save him but within seconds his lips started to turn blue and was pronounced dead.
Ironically a month ago Alex flatlined 3x last month and as soon as came out of his coma he asked his grandmother if he could be baptized. He then proceeded to tell her he was trying to wake up but he couldn’t and then God grabbed his hand and told him to try again. He did and he awoke from his coma.
Happy to share that he was able to get baptized and lead his sister, brother, and cousins to also join him and get baptized as well.
Tragically My sister, his mother, passed away November 25, 2020 due to problematic asthma. He leaves behind his baby sister, Alexia, who was his best friend. His older sister Aaliyah and older brother Rashad. Imaginably his father is distraught and at a complete loss to now have to burry his son along side his late wife.
He was a loving kid who loved football, friends, and family. Alex was a sweet, charismatic, kind soul, who had the most contagious smile and the biggest heart. He was respectful and loved by all who knew him. Please, if you can donate to our family at this time, it will be highly appreciated! Blessings to all! I am grateful to say there is a tremendous outpour of love ,prays and memories from friends and family of Alex. I appreciate every last single one of you. I want honor his name in starting his foundation. The Alexander Ervin foundation. And proceed with the planning of his celebration of life. Blessings to all and keep my family in your prayers.
