I have lost my beautiful mother, and our family is in shambles. My mom was the strongest woman I ever had the privilege of knowing, loving, and being loved by. She never deserved all of the hardships she went through. She had a stroke 10 years ago and lost everything, but I was witness to all of her undying strength. She learned how to talk, write, walk, drive—everything—all over again. It was heartbreaking and beautiful all at the same time. I have never felt more proud in my entire life.

Last Saturday morning, my mom went into cardiac arrest. Thankfully, my dad and the Krum Medical team got her to the hospital extremely fast. But unfortunately, my mom lost the fight this time. She already had previous brain damage from her stroke, but this heart attack took the rest of her brain.

I don’t think my dad ever recovered financially after her stroke, and I know now we will be hit with a plethora of more bills. I would also love to have some kind of memorial for my mom. This whole community loved her. Her life deserves to be celebrated in a beautiful way.
