I'm turning 40 years old this year, which feels like one of the big birthdays. I turned 30 in prison, and I remember thinking to myself that by 40, I was going to do something amazing. Well, a motorcycle trip with a good friend to a beautiful place sounds like an amazing way to spend the start of my 40th year on this planet.

The plan is to leave on August 16th, heading to northern Utah where we will find Zion National Park, and return home on August 22nd. This is around 2,400 total miles round trip with many stops and amazing memories made along the way. I would like to camp most nights, but 40 isn't very young, and I'll probably need a hotel or two also. Lol.

I'm asking for $1,500 total, but I'm expecting the trip to cost over $2,000 in gas, food, camping/hotels, sightseeing, and random events. I can afford to make the trip happen, but any extra money I get will just make this 40th that much better.

I do not need this money in order to make the trip happen, so if you do not have it or are unable to give, then please do not. A simple Happy Birthday on August 17th will be more than enough. However, I'm trying to become more vulnerable and accepting of help from people. I'm not very good at accepting kindness and gifts from others. This is something I've been working on as of late. If you know me, then you know I'm the first to help others in any way that I can, but to accept kindness given to me... well, that feels impossible. Again, if you do not have it to give, then please do not worry about it at all.
