Dear Ashland Community,
Please help us honor the Class of 2020 as they end their high school experience under these unusual and difficult times. Their senior year got cut short and they are missing out on so many milestones, opportunities to see friends in the hallways, spring sports, walking out of AHS one last time and traveling to the other Ashland Public Schools to say goodbye and thank you to teachers from their early years. The current situation has forced them to make changes to their traditional senior year activities including Senior Week, Class Day and Graduation. We want to show them how much we love them, feel for them, and want to honor them as they close this chapter as Clockers and move on to the next one.
We are thankful to the wonderful AHS administration for the initial recognition of our seniors by delivering a yard sign to every member of the senior class!
Several parents of the Ashland High School Class of 2020 have been working on ways we can celebrate our senior class.
We are hoping to recognize each senior individually by placing a personalized yard sign at designated locations around Ashland. Each sign will have the graduates’ name and photo (details are still being worked out for those who don’t want their student’s photo included.) Students will be able to pick up their signs at a specific date after graduation.
We will be getting a sign for every student in the Class of 2020 regardless of their ability to pay, which is why we are asking the Ashland community to stand with us in celebrating our senior class during these unprecedented times. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated, and any remaining funds will be donated to the Ashland Emergency Fund as a gift from the Class of 2020.
