Dear friends and community,

We are reaching out on behalf of our dear friend and brother Keyon, a talented and passionate member of our creative community.

On September 6th, Keyon suffered a life-altering accident on a production set.

He was in critical condition and was airlifted to Vancouver General Hospital from the site of the accident, where the ER doctors advised him that he would need to undergo immediate surgery.

It was at this point that he was told they needed to amputate his leg, and they proceeded with the surgery.

Due to multiple complications, Keyon has had to endure two more surgeries within the first three weeks of his hospital stay.

Keyon was originally in the hospital for over a month and is on the heels of another weeklong stay following his fourth surgery in two months. Sadly, he is facing a long and challenging road ahead, both emotionally and physically.

We can only imagine the amount of stress on his shoulders, and we want to support him in any way we can, as he has done for so many of us before. We feel called to share that he is currently in critical recovery, requiring urgent medical care and attention.

This fundraiser is to help cover his ongoing medical expenses and the support he’ll need during his lengthy rehabilitation and healing journey. Our goal is to allow Keyon to focus on coming to terms with his injury and processing his new reality, despite the financial burdens incurred by being away from work. We would love to offer him this support for as long as we can.
