Who are we?

Our team consists of the manager, day club manager, head chef, a care assistant, and an activities assistant from Cedrus House care home, along with some friends and family. We’re joining forces to tackle the Nuclear Race—a huge muddy obstacle course—to raise funds for the Stowmarket and District Dementia Community Group (formerly known as Stowmarket DAA).

Who are we fundraising for?

Stowmarket and District Dementia Community Group hold the belief that even though memories may fade, the individual remains very much present. They are a welcoming "village" of support, dedicated to ensuring that no one has to face the challenges of dementia on their own.

Dementia can create feelings of isolation, not just for those diagnosed but also for partners and families who find themselves stepping into caregiving roles almost overnight. The group offers:
