Cedar Point Provincial Park Board Caretakers House Rebuild

Hi my name is Natasha and I am fundraising to to raise money for the Cedar Point Provincial Park Board to rebuild a new caretakers residence at the Cedar Point in Likely. We had recently found out that our caretakers facility is unsafe due to high levels of mold and leads which were detected in the building. We had attempted to abate the building to make it safe for our caretaker to live and operate our park but unfortunately found out the building is a complete write off. It is beyond saving at this point and is completely rotten into the framing, the floor, walls and roofing system. The existing building will be set to be demolished in the spring of 2025 under the strict guidelines of the Ministry of Environment and we will need to replace the building with another structure in order to operate the park. This is a very hefty bill for a small non profit organization to absorb on its own that is managed solely by volunteers.

We have made strides in the park this past year, making many positive improvements. We need to have a safe office/ caretakers residence for us to keep moving forward making the park a wonderful place for all to enjoy for many generations to come. We have a lot of exciting plans for the future at the park and want to see our board be successful at reaching our goals. The park house is absolutely crucial for the operations of our park and we are going to push as hard as we can to keep things moving forward. We are very small community that is amazing at coming together to make things happen and I want to make sure our park becomes one that we all can be proud of and can be shared by everyone that enjoys it. It is truly the most beautiful place!
