Cedar Oak Rescue
Urgently needs your help!
Across America, dog shelters are filled beyond capacity. Non-kill shelters are having to rethink their policies due to capacity and budgets. Thousands of dogs are being put down due to lack of space every day.
Sarah Nagle runs a never kill rescue that has run into road blocks that have stalled her ability to make more room for more dogs.
Over a year ago she sold her house and purchased 20 acres of horse property with hopes of building a 20x120 building for the 100-plus rescued dogs in her center. A dream of creating a safe environment until they can be adopted out has been crushed and delayed. County regulations and building codes have become a costly battle. Numerous attempts with engineering designs have been rejected costing limited resources. A final agreement to raise the land by 4 feet meets the requirement.
Funds originally to be used have been spent on temporary makeshift facilities for the dogs and additional engineering costs.
With so many dogs available they have had to drop the adoption fees that covered initial veterinary costs just making it harder.
Cedar Oak Rescue is funded by Sarah and limited donations. She works full-time and manages to meet and exceed government requirements for the dog’s care. What little help she gets is deeply appreciated and now you can make a big difference in many dogs' lives. With a track record of over 1000 dogs adopted in the past few years it is critical to expand so more dogs have a chance. The reach for adoptions and rescues expands across America.
A donation of any amount will go towards meeting building regulations, a cement floor, environmental controls, solar panels and the final payment on the building. This will allow Cedar Oak Rescue the ability to continue caring for the dogs they have and to expand to take in more. Every dollar donated goes towards the dogs.
The dogs come from kill centers, police departments, homeless people who can no longer take care of them and abandoned abused animals. The building is desperately needed to continue providing quality care. It has been said a dog is a gift from god never asking for much but always full of love.
Sarah provides not only the dogs in her care a chance at adoption but local kill centers also. Her efforts of taking pictures and posting on line in hopes of adoptions before they are put down. Kill centers do not provide basic health services since the dogs will most likely be put down. Sarah provides flea and tick control and shares her medication with local animal control for free.
Today you can make a difference with a donation and pass this on to everyone you know and social media. As a group, we can give a dog another chance to love unconditionally another day.
Your tax-deductible donation to Cedar Oak Rescue a 501c3 is needed and appreciated
