My beautiful friend, Cecily Wingsong, is in need of help!
I am Judi Calhoun, a manger at the Tin Angel Restaurant in Nashville, Tn. I had the pleasure of working with Cecily many years ago . She went on to become a massage therapist and continue with her music. She is a wonderful singer/songwriter and is one of the most caring, loving and spiritual people I know. Although she left the restaurant, we have stayed friends these many years.
This past Tuesday, July 5, 2016, she had colorectal surgery to remove a tumor. Sadly, it has metastasized to her liver and was too large to remove immediately. Knowing that she was going to go through chemo & radiation treatments, she had started moving from her home to her sister's home.
The night of Wednesday, July 6 brought horrendous storms through middle Tennessee along with severe flash flooding. Unfortunately, her sister's home flooded with aprox 9 inches of water. This resulted in the loss of Cecily's tablet, laptop, guitars and other personal belongings that were in her car. She also lost her car...it is a complete loss and the insurance won't pay off enough for her to get another vehicle. Due to her health issues she will not be able to work for several months and needless to say her life has been tuned upside down.
Through it all she is still keeping a smile on her face and trying to be as positive as she can. I am amazed at the strength and fortitude she is showing during this difficult period. Please, any help at all, would be very much appreciated! Let's give her a helping hand!!!
