Cecily's Journey to Healing
Donation protected
My sister has been through so much during the last few weeks but her strength has been amazing. Here is her story:
"“So here it goes my name is Cecily Brown. I truly consider myself to be self motivated, family oriented, a traveler, a wife and a bible loving fashionista. But a month ago my life changed. I was diagnosed with Cardiac Angiosarcoma (big word meaning a heart tumor). So many new things: chemo, medications, multiple hospital stays, relocation for treatment. I was in my hospital bed and I heard one surgeon say that 1.8 million people in the US get cancer and out of those 1.8 million people 10 people have what I was diagnosed with. So rare...that I was starting to think I was a unicorn for real. Everyone who knows me...knows I’m a private person and I don’t usually like sharing personal information. But I believe this may help someone. I feel like this journey that I am going through has made my faith much stronger. When dealing with something like this you really rely on God and the support and love of your family. It is crazy that I am here in the hospital but I’m praying for others here with me. Without God’s blessing in this situation I don’t know what I would do. Although this condition is rare, I know that God has already healed me, my battle is already won. I just have to continue to fight.
Thank you to everyone that has helped and supported me thus far. Thank you for all of the prayers and calls. I am grateful for you and pray that God continues to bless you."
