Hey y’all, Micki here. My cat Cecil had a very expensive health scare this week that required an ER visit, bloodwork panel, an ultrasound, anesthesia, antibiotics, and pain meds. I’m asking for help to cover some of the costs - It put me into about $2k of debt and I still have to do more bloodwork and potentially other diagnostics after he completes his antibiotics, so I’m anticipating at least another $500. Fortunately Cecil’s ultrasound was able to rule out appendicitis and any organ masses so the vets are inclined to believe he has an infection from bacteria that ascended from his intestines, which should go away with antibiotics. So he’s being treated and it seems like he’s going to be just fine, but I did max out a care credit card which I now have 6 months to pay off. My income is very low - I’m on Medicaid/food stamps and I simply will not have an extra $2k+ coming in any time soon, so I’m hoping I can raise at least a portion of the debt this put me in.
