My name is Lisa King. On July 13th, 2019 four members of my family were involved in a head-on car accident. (Cecilia(Mom), Augustin(Dad), Yasmine(Sister) and Eloi King(Cousin).) My dad, sister and cousin are recovering nicely however; my mom who was the front seat passenger sustained a L1 Lumbar vertebrae fracture with spinal cord displacement which caused paralysis in both legs and lower torso. She required rods and screws installed in her spinal column which, by doctor’s expectations would only allow her to sit up. She currently has feeling in her right leg with muscle movement in her right thigh and painful spasms in her left thigh. We are a hopeful family and believe that she will, by God's grace, be able to walk again.  Mom is currently in home care with nursing help and physiotherapy three times a week in Martinique. 

We have contacted a rehabilitation hospital in Martinique (Le Carbet) which requires about $110k for a 45-day physiotherapy section and daily care. Our family asks for your donations and help through sharing this GoFundMe link to cover her physiotherapy. We would like her to be home in St. Lucia for Christmas to walk and dance once more with the grandbaby.
