Hi Everyone,
Thankyou for taking the time to open the link and read about this wonderful family.
I have known Camilla and her amazing family for over 35 years. Sadly they were struck by tragedy after tragedy over the last 2 years.
Camilla’s incredible older sister, Cecilia, was diagnosed with Bulbar ALS, a fatal disease, that was unforgiving. Bulbar ALS is a neurodegenerative condition affecting motor neurons — neurons responsible for voluntary muscle control — in the brain and spinal cord.
It’s a progressive, terminal disease that ultimately leads to muscle wasting and paralysis.
For Cecilia, Camilla and their family- it meant 15 months of heartbreak as they watched Cecilia loose more of her bright, bubbly, happy personality, and surrender to the cruel disease.
Their family modified their home, attended 100s of appointments, medical options and provided round the clock care- both personal and professional- to help Cecilia through her illness.
Cecilia sadly passed 2 weeks ago.
Then tragedy struck again. While planning her daughter’s funeral, Cecilia’s mother had a terrible fall that resulted in a broken hip, requiring surgery.
During triage, the doctors confirmed that she also had suffered a stroke.
Whilst the surgery was deemed successful for Camilla’s mother, this beautiful family still has a battle ahead.
Not only are they faced with paying for a funeral, they now have to somehow find the funds to support rehabilitation, on-going physio, and a possible restructure of their family home (once again).
I am reaching out for your compassion and charity to support this family in need. They are a family who would never ask for anything but would offer their last dollar to help others.
My goal is to gift them some financial help to ease their stress and allow them to properly grieve the loss of their beautiful, daughter and sister.
To have your help and charity would be so greatly appreciated.
Thankyou for taking the time to open and to read about this remarkable family.
