Hello!

My name is Cecilia, or Cutecumber, and I live and work with my wife, Jessica! This gofund me is set up to help pay for a life-changing surgery and hopefully ease the workload my wife has to take on to support us

--About my Situation

So in this past year, I've had two significant surgeries; one was to remove and replace bone in my infected jaw and the other was to replace the teeth that had to be removed, which was the entire upper row, unfortunately. We were prepared to handle the cost of this surgery without any issue since the doctor helping me offered a finance plan that would require me to pay $200 a month for a few years. However, now my right eye has begun to cross while I draw or attempt to look at anything 6 feet in front of me, making life a lot harder and scarier as an artist.

I've never had the chance for a surgery like this; I've always had doctors laugh when I asked for options like this to fix my eyes, even saying that I should prepare for eventual blindness.

I have always depended on my glasses; if they broke or were lost, my life would halt because I wasn't allowed to prepare for the blindness I already have, so now my biggest fear has come. My glasses are starting to worsen the situation; I can't depend on them any longer, and that scares me.

--Our Plan

I have contacted Berkley Eye Center and addressed that my only solution is surgery that'll give me permeate contacts. I scheduled an evaluation with Dr. Micheletti already since no matter what, I have to get this surgery. However, the evaluation is $400, and the price per eye is a whopping $4,495, so without help, I don't know when I'll actually be able to get the surgery. Without it, I'll be forced to take a hiatus from work which leaves Mango to support us both, and I don't want her to do that all alone, but with help, I'll be able to get back to work by September, and I'll be able to resume living life normally!

--What Will We Be Doing With Your Donations?

All donations will be pushed toward my eye surgery, and any extra money I might receive will be put toward my dental surgery bill so I can pay them both off faster and actually have some breathing room for other debts we have to face because of this situation. I hope this itemized list can help understand where money will be going:

Evaluation- $400

Right Eye- $4,495

Left Eye- $4,495

Total - $9,390

(Adding a little to the goal to attempt and cover any fees GF will take)
