An education for orphaned children.

As some of you may be aware we (Nicole Cecil and Jess Crane) have donated 12 weeks of our time to an orphanage which also doubles as a school in Kenya.
During our time here so far we have learnt many great things about these amazing kids and Pastor Jane, the inspiring lady who set up this institution.
Pastor Jane has six children of her own and was abondened by her husband after being severely mistreated. Jane and her kids lived in severe poverty for years not knowing when or where they would find their next meal or shelter. Pastor Jane made a promise that if she managed to get through the hard times she would do everything in her power to not let a women or child suffer the way she had. In the coming years, word got out and children came to into her care from around the village. So many so, that she was evicted from her house. However, after many other hardships she came to the property the school now lies. Every single one of these 50 kids has a heartbreaking story of how they ended up in her care. From mistreatment from family members or even police, each child has a unique and shattering story which has left them without a chance at such a young age.
Any donations- no matter how big or small is welcome. A donation as little as $10 can buy the whole school (50 kids) exams. Without exams, these kids would not be able progress to the next grade.
Our overall goal for this school and orphanage is to assist them in building a new classroom. If we manage to raise enough money to do this, it means the children can stay in school for another year as they cannot afford to attend a regular public school. At the moment, we have ten students who are about to complete grade 3 and without another classroom for grade 4 they have no way to continue their schooling. Without education the kids will fall into the cycle of disadvantage and continue living in poverty.
