We started the journey in 2013 to make a short documentary film about a Denver treasure: Cecil and Carl, who at that point in time, had already been partners for 43 years, 8 months, 1 week and 4 days.
This film was independently produced and we could not have done it without the sweat equity and dedication of our small crew, all of whom worked without compensation to make it happen.
It is now 2017 and the film is done. We are proud to announce that it has been accepted to the Academy Award qualifying New Orleans Film Festival . It has also been nominated for the prestigious Iris Prize in Wales. Thus far, the film has screened at 50 international film festivals and it has won 8 awards in the 'Best Documentary' or 'Audience Award' categories.
Please support our project and contribute a few dollars - whatever you can! - to offset festival submission fees and travel expenses. You will be helping share this amazing love story with people all over the world while also supporting indepedent film makers!
For any contribution, you will get a private digital download of the film.
You will also get updates on where you can see the film on the big screen. Please share widely! Thank you so much for your support!
