Memorial service will be held at Elks Funeral Home February 27, 2021 at 4 pm in Charleston, WV - all are welcome to join us and we look forward to seeing you there.

Cecil Johnson Jr. was born and raised on the east end of Charleston, WV. He had a beautiful smile, huge heart, and was a loyal soul. He was genuinely an all around great guy. He could be a bit shy- but also speak his mind and raise some hell on occasion. I can close my eyes and see his smile and hear him laugh... my brothers always have called me “Lou”♥️ What I wouldn’t give to have one more “I love you Lou”

Addiction is a family disease- inter generational lifelong trauma and alcoholism were the normal in our lives and has wreaked havoc and destroyed so many of our family members, and is still. He struggled for many years with addiction, following an accident at work, and began abusing pain meds... he had been through hell. I know he is finally not suffering any more. Chip, Mike, and I - along with all of the extra family we have collected through our lifetime, especially our Dixie Street days, know our story best. We are and have always been soldiers fighting to survive a lifetime of scars and dysfunction. My little brother Chip is with those who have gone on to Glory before us, because of this generational disease. We carry them with us in our hearts and we pray they are all at peace. I know this is the first time for Chip to be at peace, in God’s loving arms. So much pain and suffering at the hands of this vicious disease.

Cecil “Chip” Johnson- was a precious soul. I know that he will be missed by many. My heartbreak and this story of suffering is the story that so many in these times have to face. This reality of life during these difficult times while we are experiencing a pandemic AND an epidemic. We are losing people every single day. PLEASE Love on your people- your family and friends, the people who share your life and heart, tomorrow is not promised. May we all continue to fight for these things to change. Remind your loved ones that they’re never alone. PRAY AND PRAY AND PRAY♥️♥️♥️ It does work. I am living proof.

Rest easy Chip-
I know you’re in God’s hands now... And hope you know that you are loved, eternally- until I see you again - may your beautiful soul Rest In Peace. Fly high little brother.
I love you bubba,
Lou♥️

It is with a soul cry for change and with a heavy heart, I ask for prayers. Prayers for freedom from the bondage of addiction and alcoholism to be forever broken, so that our children are free and heal. Praying for Miraculous change and that we may grow old and enjoy our loved ones and their children can have a family and be surrounded by love and not dysfunctional trauma and existential crisis. Heal the world from the plague of addiction-  In Jesus Name- Amen♥️♥️
