Cecelia's Dog Park

Please join us in commemorating Cecelia Darmstadt, Little Cece, by donating to our campaign.  All proceeds will go towards the purchase of infrastructure (fencing, bedding, water line) for a new dog park in the center of our little village.  The dog park will be situated at the end of the Columbia Trail in High Bridge, NJ, at the Commons Park.  

Cece was stillborn on Saturday, June 30 of this year.  She was three weeks early and a victim of chance; we suffered a placental abruption which means that the placenta released from the uterine wall unexpectedly, cutting off all nutrients and oxygen to Cece.  We are continuously overwhelmed by kind outreach from friends, family, and others who have faced similar tragedies; and we are so thankful for the outpouring of support.  

This project stemmed from a suggestion made by the funeral director, whom we never anticipated having to meet, who asked us if, in lieu of flowers, we have a particular cause that is close to us as a family that we may direct attention toward.  As a dog-loving family that had been working with committees and the municipality to push the dog park forward, we thought that we could help build the park in Cece's memory so that we can visit, have fun, and meet new friends (both K-9 and otherwise).  

The fencing for the dog park is estimated to cost $7,000 and the remainder is money that can go towards ground cover and additional amenities to make this a really great dog park.  Please help us build a beautiful and meaningful memorial to our little angel.  The funds will be deposited into the "For High Bridge" account, a non-profit supporting projects in the town of High Bridge, NJ.  All funds raised here will support the building of Cecelia's Dog Park.
