Hi, we are Mason and Joye! We are both collegiate wrestlers at McKendree University. Our goal is to fundraise money for a youth wrestling club in Cebu, Philippines. We believe that everyone with a passion for wrestling should have access to quality wrestling gear to ensure safety while learning the sport of wrestling. Joye and I will also be traveling to Cebu in June to help coach for a few days (using our own money). All proceeds from this GoFundMe will be used to buy the kids wrestling shoes, headgear, shirts, shorts, socks, knee pads, etc. If we get enough funding we will also be buying them a wrestling mat so that they no longer have to wrestle on gym mats. This is very important to us as wrestling has opened many doors in our own lives and has made us the people we are today. We believe these kids should have that opportunity as well! We will create a Facebook page that will share all of the pictures and videos from our time with the club, as well as pictures of the kids getting all their gear. We also will be taking gear donations of things such as shoes, wrestling shirts and shorts, and any safety gear (new/functional condition - Small/medium sized gear). Donated gear will be shipped across the world with us as we head to Cebu with large boxes using some of the donation money. All of this gear will be hand delivered by us.
