Clara Qualls is 10 years old and will be in the 5th grade. She has been homeschooled since kindergarten. She has three younger siblings, a brother and two sisters. Clara is very intelligent, but has really struggled with reading, writing, and math.
We had her tested at age six and received a diagnosis of a reading and math disability and anxiety disorder. We have since tried numerous programs with her with limited success. She can currently read on a first grade level, yet is capable of understanding 5th grade level history and science. She loves acting, sewing, and creating things.
We heard about Austen Coley and brought her to be tested. The school screened her and determined that she was severely dyslexic and could benefit greatly from Austen Coley. We believe that she will do well in a small school environment that focuses on dyslexic students.
