My dad name is Hue Nguyen. He is 52 years-old. He is an immigrant from Vietnam who is seeking for the American Dream to his wife and son.

Unfortunately, the Dream almost took his life away. On March 25th, I received an unexpected visitor who happened to be my dad’s boss. He informed me that my dad fell from a ladder at work and impacted on the right side of his head; he lost a lot of blood and was unresponsive. I made a devastating phone call to my mom and asked her to come home immediately. It has been more than two weeks and my dad is still in the Surgical ICU at Scripp Mercy Hospital. The doctors told me that my dad is currently in a near-vegetation stage. He required breathing and feeding tubes in order to survive. My dad was the structure of my family who worked really hard to provide me a better life. Seeing him lying there really devastated me, I feel hopeless since I was unable to do anything. My mom teared up for the past couple of days since she misses him dearly. She is in a state of lost and is barely able to work. The money being raised here will help to pay my dad’s medical expenses which are roughly $10,000.
