Hi, I’m Liv, and I’m running the Richmond Half Marathon in June to raise money for Rape Crisis. Rape Crisis is an incredible charity that provides essential support for survivors of sexual assault and rape, offering a 24/7 helpline, specialist counseling, and advocacy to help people rebuild their lives. They also work to challenge harmful myths, educate communities, and campaign for better services and justice for survivors.

Recently, I experienced sexual assault, and it made me realize how difficult it truly is to speak up. I don’t want anyone else in that position. Initially I blamed myself and felt unable to talk about it, only to later learn that two of my friends had also been through similar experiences. Too many others stay silent out of fear, shame, or self-blame, and that needs to change.

By running this race, I want to help break the silence, raise awareness, and support a charity that gives survivors the help they deserve. Any donation, no matter how small, will go toward providing life-changing support for those who need it most.
