Sweet Sara

Joe and Jennifer unexpectedly lost their beautiful daughter Sara, who was their only child, on Friday night due to complications in her heart.

Sara was born with a genetic heart disease, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM). Sara had an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) put in place when she was 8 years old and had a septal myectomy (open heart surgery) at 12 years old. She was a fighter and was never afraid of living with this incurable disease.

Sara was sweet and funny. Smart and witty. She gave the best hugs and had the best laugh. Sara had the most beautiful smile that could light up any room. Her gorgeous blue eyes were like rays of sunshine.

Undoubtedly, this is an incredibly difficult time for her parents. Due to the unexpectedness of Sara’s passing, her parents have requested an autopsy be conducted as more answers are needed; this is a rather large expense.

Sara did not have life insurance due to the pre-existing heart condition. Jennifer will also be missing work for an extended time, and of course, funeral and autopsy costs will be endured.
