Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking a couple minutes out of your day to hear Malakai's story. My main goal of making this gofundme is to help my dear old highschool friend Dan and his family. Daniels son Malakai is three years old. At seven weeks he suffered a near SIDS event which left him with serious brain damage. This left him on a 24 hour ventilator and a G-tube for feeding. He doesn't even have the ability to blink on his own anymore. Due to his conditions, he needs a special chair to get around and can't ride in normal car seats. At first, the doctors told them that Malakai would never improve, however, this brave little guy is a warrior! He has surprised them all over the past three years and is now off his vent 12-16 hours a day! This family is in serious need of a specialized medical van which would greatly increase Malakai's quality of life. Special needs vans are very expensive and each vehicle needs safety customization's to fit each individuals condition. Malakai enjoys swimming, walks on the board walk, and attending his siblings sporting events! I understand this pandemic has caused most families hardship, but even $5 could help us achieve the goal for Daniel's family.
