On Saturday, December 9th I lost a dear friend to me. Chance (pictured above) was a witty, humorous, all around creative person, and an amazing friend of 10 years. They passed suddenly of an infection at the young age of 32 years old. One year ago we packed everything we had and went on an adventure from Texas to California. Now I'm returning alone.

Due to the circumstances of Chance's death, I have to clear out our apartment as soon as possible for my health. I'm also no longer financially able to remain in California or move on my own at such short notice. I have to be out of the apartment no later than December 23rd.

All funds will go to a shipping agency so that I can move all of my items and Chance's valuables back to Texas. Thank you to all friends, family and kind strangers who can give anything at all to help. Thank you so much.

Update: It is with a bittersweet sort of happiness I say that we met our goal. Chance's items are arriving home shortly. I've made it home as well with what items I could send or bring. This has been a horrific time, but all of the support I've received both financial and emotional has made it just a bit easier. Thank you so much again friends, coworkers, family, all of the above and kind strangers. Words can't express what you've done for me.

And to Chance - I'll miss you always, friend.
