The Redding Family Fundraiser
Donation protected
On February 17 Erin Redding slipped on a wet walkway and fractured her hip. What the X-rays soon revealed, however, was far worse. Erin has a malignant form of cancer called multiple myeloma, in which the body's white blood cells multiply and attack the bone.
Erin will have total hip replacement surgery on February 26, after which time she will be wheelchair-bound and will need weeks of physical therapy. Laboratory tests on the tissue removed during surgery will determine the type and stage of MM cancer and the subsequent course of action to treat the disease, most likely chemotherapy.
Erin and Ivan have two darling children, Anastasia, who just turned 3, and 7-month-old Declan. They proudly own and operate The Earth That Gives, an organic farm in Oregon City. This devastating diagnosis impacts the family in every way--loss of income, delay of farming, the need for home health care, remodeling of the home for wheelchair accessibility, childcare--the list goes on.
For these reasons, we are seeking to raise $5,000 to help this loving family through a most difficult time. Every dollar helps and is sincerely appreciated. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for considering our request.
