My name is Misty Lown and I am owner of Misty's Dance Unlimited in Onalaska, WI. I am raising money on behalf of our beloved Ballet Master, Mr. Kennet Oberly, who has been battling ALS since October 2014.
Mr. Kennet is a former professional ballet dancer and master teacher who has positively impacted thousands of students in his lifetime. Mr. Kennet has continued to teach his daily ballet classes faithfully throughout the progression of this disease, the last 8 months of which he has been teaching and producing full length ballets from a wheel chair. Despite Mr. Kennet's best efforts to maintain his classroom work, ALS has recently robbed him of his ability to speak.
Mr. Kennet still has many ballets in his heart and a lifetime of wisdom to share with his students and family. Please help us to give Mr. Kennet his voice back by contributing this fundraiser for an eye-controlled communication device called an Dynavox EyeMax. In true Mr. Kennet fashion he has already mastered the exercises to qualify to use this device. He now only waits for the opportunity to have one of his own.
Mr. Kennet's wife, Larissa, and his faithful following of students would be so grateful to be able to communicate once again to the great man and teacher who has been locked inside the progression of ALS. Thank you.
