My name is Alex and I'm trying to raise funds to help my little brother Jonah. He's only 21, with his birthday approaching on December 3rd. He was in a terrible car accident on November 7th where he was ejected from his truck. Shortly after arriving at Sandusky Hospital, he had to be airlifted to Flint Hurley as his injuries were beyond the care of Sandusky. Upon arrival at Flint Hurley, he had to be sedated and intubated due to a spine fracture. He was taken to surgery the same day he arrived and was in surgery from 1 pm to 12 am. After being there a few days, he was able to be extubated, but unfortunately, it was only for a day as his throat and tongue began to swell, and they had to intubate him again. On November 14th, they did a tracheostomy. Every day is a battle for him as he recovers. He is making progress, but it's baby steps. Flint Hurley is hoping to transfer him soon to a special facility for spinal rehabilitation where he will hopefully regain his function to walk and have to relearn how to do everything all over again.

We are asking for donations of any amount to help us get all the medical things he needs for home (hospital bed, Hoyer lift, shower chair, etc.) and also to help us with gas to go see him, as someone has to be there with him every day while he's at the facility for rehab so we can learn how to care for him.
