Hi everyone,

My grandma sadly passed away yesterday, August 23, 2025, and we are greatly devastated. My siblings and I were raised by my mom and grandma, so losing her feels like a strong blow. My grandma had open-heart surgery with a triple bypass on March 19, 2025, but sadly after the surgery, the recovery was extremely difficult. Her wound on her chest was not healing, and she had to have an additional 7 surgeries. She had a skin graft on August 1, and things were in the process of getting better: she was doing physical therapy, talking, and even eating on her own. We had high hopes that things would return to normal, but unfortunately, yesterday became a nightmare that my family can’t seem to wake up from.

My mother and I are preparing for her funeral, but with hospital bills and other expenses, things are very hard. I’m a full-time college student, and my mom is a single mom on her own. We would greatly appreciate any help that we can get to help lay my grandma to rest.
