Final update…

Thank you so much for your love, support, and prayers over the past few days. Bella, our sweet rescue pup, fought bravely but despite everything we tried, we had to say goodbye.

there were many complications after her surgery that required extensive care. My husband and I were on our way to transport her to receive care in a different facility when she took her last breaths in my husband’s arms.

On top of the emotional pain, we are also now faced with the burden of paying off the emergency vet bills from her final care.

Bella made it through surgery!

We are SO thankful to everyone who has prayed, given, and shared. Thanks to you, we were able to move forward with Bella’s emergency surgery using a CareCredit loan, and she made it through!

The vets discovered multiple abnormalities in her abdomen during the operation, which means Bella will need extensive post-op care, follow-ups, and possible further treatment. This journey isn’t over, but we are full of hope and faith.

We’re continuing to raise funds to help cover her aftercare and pay down the loan. If you feel led to continue supporting, sharing, or praying—we are truly grateful. Every single act of kindness means the world to us.

We’re Luiggi and Esmeralda, and we’re reaching out with heavy hearts.

Our beloved dog Bella is in a critical condition and urgently needs emergency surgery. Her diagnosis is devastating: the vets found a severely distended intestinal segment and are concerned she may be suffering from colonic torsion, a life-threatening condition that can only be confirmed and treated through exploratory surgery.

Our vet bill is an enormous financial burden for us, but we’re not giving up because Bella is a fighter. She always has been.

Bella’s Story: A True Survivor

Before she came into our lives, Bella had already survived more than most dogs ever will. She’s battled serious health challenges before including a transmissible tumor (TVT), kidney complications, mange, and tick-borne illnesses. Through strength and determination, she overcame every single one. After her long road to recovery, we rescued her and she’s been part of our family ever since.

From day 1, Bella has been a source of joy, companionship, comfort, and love. Anyone who meets her knows how special she is.

Now, she needs us more than ever. And we’re committed to doing everything we can to fight for her.
