Jesse's Journey

Donation protected
In January of this year (2018) Jesse went to the prompt care clinic in Galesburg after having a cold and chest congestion that would not go away.  Prompt care sent Jesse to the emergency room as soon as the doctor saw him suspecting a severe case of Pneumonia.
At the emergency room they ran tests and found that he did have pneumonia, and an alarmingly high white blood cell count.
They ran more tests and found that he had cancer and it was widespread, though at the time they did not know exactly the type or severity.
After many more doctors, hospitals and testing Jesse was referred to Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota for the remainder of treatment and informed that he has had cancer for many years, and now has Stage IV Mantle Cell Lymphoma.
"Mantle Cell lymphoma is typically an aggressive Lymphomas that are fast growing and generally need to be treated immediately. Also called intermediate-grade or high-grade lymphomas., rare, form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) that arises from cells originating in the “mantle zone.” MCL accounts for roughly six percent of all NHL cases in the United States."
Jesse's treatment plan includes 6 trips to Mayo clinic for Chemo Therapy, followed by a Stem Cell transplant  that will be  6 weeks to 4 months at Mayo Clinic, followed by a long recovery at home.
Jesse has been unable to work since the diagnosis, and his wife Patty has been taking a lot of time off to get Jesse to and from treatments.  Traveling and staying in Rochester for the chemo treatments, along with the cost of treatment is starting to add up.  With the stem cell transplant and the potential of Patty being off of work and both of them living in Rochester for several months, their financial situation is getting tight.
We all love Jesse and want him to continue to receive the best treatment.   We know that Jesse with his strength and faith in the lord will overcome this!  If you are able to donate to this cause it will be greatly appreciated. If you are not able to contribute with money please include Jesse in your prayers.
Thank you.
