A dear husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend, Edgar M. Checa passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at the age of 65, victim to COVID-19.
Edgar was dedicated to the profession of nursing and a loved colleague to many at Flushing Hospital.
This campaign was established to provide financial support to Edgar's family for expenses related to his passing.

To his family, friends, relatives, and everyone whom his heart touches. We are here together to acknowledge all his efforts and love for us all. An individual who smiles even during hard times making everything around him a very pleasant environment.
Edgar Checa is still fighting. Fighting a serious disease that can still be prevented and by donating a certain amount of money to the affected people around him – His family. This will be a grand gesture for him and his family because even during these hard times, he endured most of it and still make wonderful gestures while working around his workplace and travelling as wonderful husband and father. A hero that had to go through a lot. He never frowned or showed that he is tired, he is a dedicated person who keeps smiling all throughout.
