CD Recording Project – Ukrainian Classical Music

Ukrainian Violinist Solomiya Ivakhiv and Pianist Steven Beck will be recording a new CD of music by Ukrainian classical composers!
The album will feature the following works:
- Serhiy Bortkevych – Sonata for Violin & Piano, Op. 26
- Myroslav Skoryk – Sonata No. 2
- Viktor Kosenko – Sonata in A Minor
The recording session takes place in November 2022, and the CD will be released in 2023 on the prestigious NAXOS label.
We are raising funds to help cover costs associated with recording and publishing a new CD. All funds raised will be used strictly to cover costs associated with this recording project.
- Studio Recording (3 sessions at $1620 per session) = $4,860
- Piano Tunings = $750
- Post Recording Editing and Mastering = $5,400
- CD Booklet liner notes = $300
- Go Fund Me 2.9% fee = $327.99
- TOTAL ANTICIPATED COST: $11,637.99 USD
As a thank you, donors who give $750 and above will receive the following:
- $750-$1,499 – a 45-minute virtual (Zoom) recital by Solomiya Ivakhiv
- $1,500-$2,999 – a 45-minute in-person recital by Solomiya (on the East Coast)
- $3,000+ – a 60-minute in-person recital anywhere within the continental US
NOTES:
- Recitals must be scheduled within one calendar year from the date of donation.
- The Donor is welcome to request program selections, but Solomiya Ivakhiv will have the right to all final programming decisions.
- 45-minute in-person recitals must be on the East Coast, at a location and venue to be mutually agreed upon by Solomiya Ivakhiv and the Donor.
- 60-minute in-person recitals must be within the 48 continental United States, at a location and venue to be mutually agreed upon by Solomiya Ivakhiv and the Donor.
- For all in-person recitals, the Donor is responsible for securing and paying for a venue if the performance will be outside the Donor's home.
