Our friend, Alice Winship, is bravely battling an aggressive form of cancer. She has devoted much of her life to promoting music and local heritage, particularly Maritime-related genre. She is well known as a fantastic song-writer, writing songs about local Washington State history, salmon, and her experiences growing up on a small farm in Moses Lake.
Her biggest wish is to have her music recorded, shared, and sung. In honor of this wish, we are humbly asking for any donations to help with recording and CD replication costs. The music will be provided by talented members of the local folk community at a professional studio and will be a treasured recording for folk fans everywhere.
Any person who provides a donation above $15 will receive the CD when it is completed, hopefully by December 2019/January 2020 timeframe.
Please help us help Alice to achieve her biggest dream.
NOTE: any funding left after recording costs, if any, will go to Maritime Folknet, the non-profit of which Alice is the President and one of the founding members. Maritime Folknet produces live music events that connect the public with Northwest maritime culture, both past and present. It is operated 100% by volunteers.
